Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a blood preparation having low side effects, by ocntacting the raw material of the blood preparation containing a hypotensive substance and/or a blood coagulation promoting substance as impurities with a specific adsorbent, thereby removing said impurities.
CONSTITUTION: The raw material of a blood preparation containing a hypotensive substance and/or a blood coagulation promoting substance as impurities (e.g. blood, extracts of placenta, their fractions, etc.) is brought into contact with one or more adsorbent selected from kaolin, bentonite, and acid clay. A blood preparation free from hypotensive substance and/or blood coagulating substance can be obtained by this treatment. The blood preparation is various components obtained by fractionating blood, e.g. proteins such as albumin, globulin, fibrinogen, etc.
