Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an efficient and uniform cooling by a method wherein working liquid is filled in annular hollow chambers which are substantially concentric to a plurality of cylinders and formed therein and the hollow chambers are communicated with each other by a pair of pipings.
CONSTITUTION: Main shaft 1 is rotated by a pulley 5, bearings 3 generate a rolling friction heat, so that the operating liquid filled in the hollow chambers 6, 7 is gasified. The gasified vapour is moved up to the hollow chambers 6, 7, cooled by the surrounding air, condensed to cause its latent heat to be discharged into the surrounding air. When a raised temperature is different between a front bearing block 2 and a rear bearing block 4, the vapour is moved from a high vapour pressure toward a low vapour pressure via vapour piping 8 and a coupling 9.
