Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the direction and velocity of the wind by using a plurality of temperature sensors, by causing the difference in temperature between the temperature sensors by utilizing a cooling effect caused by receiving the wind, and by detecting the difference. CONSTITUTION:The difference in temperature is detected from the cooling effect caused by receiving the wind by direction derecting temperature sensors TS1-TS4 and the temperature sensor indicating a minimum measured value, whereby the direction in which the wind comes is known. In addition, a cooling body 4 is cooled because the wind blows against the cooling body 4 and thus the difference in temperature occurs between a heater 2 and the cooling body 4. Since this difference in temperature changes according to the velocity of the wind, it is detected by a heating-part temperature sensor TS5 and a wind-velocity detecting temperature sensor TS6 and is further compensated in view of atmospheric temperature, whereby the velocity of the wind can be determined.
