Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the road surface temperature with high accuracy by measuring the same in consideration of such disturbance factors as the underground temperature, the outside air temperature and the wind velocity. CONSTITUTION:The underground temperature TH is detected by using a surface thermometer which comprises a temperature sensor 20 arranged on a bottom plate 18 which transmits the underground temperature with a high thermal conductively and the resin 22 filled onto the bottom plate so as to bury said temperature sensor having an upper surface to be aligned with the road surface 1. In addition, the outside air temperature TO directly above the surface thermometer is detected by using an outside-air thermometer, and the aboveground thermal resistance Rth0 between the outside-air thermometer and the road surface 1 is calculated from the wind velocity v detected by means of an anemometer. Then, the road surface temperature TS=(Rth0.TH+Rth1.TO)/(Rth0+Rth1) is calculated by using a given underground thermal resistance Rth1 predetermined by the surface thermometer.
