PURPOSE:To provide a small, lightweight and inexpensive device by detecting the moving position of an original plate from the relation between magnets mounted to the original plate and lead switches mounted to the upper part of a machine body. CONSTITUTION:When an original is set on an original plate 11 and the machine is started, an original plate driving mechanism operates to move the plate 11 in an arrow (a) direction. When the plate 11 arrives at the left side moving threshold point, a magnet 23A on the right side operates with a lead switch 24D, thereby giving an opposite direction movement command signal. When the plate 11 is moved in an arrow (b) direction by the operation of the original plate driving mechanism and the magnet 23B on the left side provided to the plate 11 comes above the 2nd lead switch 24B, this switch 24B operates and detects the restart position.
