Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the static charge of an undesired part on a photoreceptor, by setting an end side of an eliminating device of latent image opposite to the undesired part of the latent image, providing a light source part at the other side of the said eliminating device and then scattering the light given from the light source onto a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:For an eliminating device 4, a main body 17 forms a thin rectangular plate matter with use of a metallic plate such as an Al thin plate, and just a coner part is protruded. The end fringe of th protruded side is blocked up by an attachment plate 16 having attachment holes 15, and only the end fringe of the opposite side is opened 17a. A light diffusing material 18 such as the acrylic resin, etc. is filled into the main body 17. The light of a lamp 20 provided in a hole 19 at a light source part 21 irradiates on a photoreceptor through the opening 17a and via the material 18 to eliminate the static charge on the photoreceptor.
