Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a water insoluble polymer coating layer within a short time by a method wherein an aluminum surface having a surface of an inert condition is immersed in a fluorin ion containing polymer latex with a pH of 4.0 or less obtained by polymerizing one or more of an ethylenic unsaturated monomer so as to negatively charge a polymer particle.
CONSTITUTION: An aluminum product with various shapes such as a plate, a rod, a wire is subjected to anodic oxidation treatment and pore sealing treatment to form a surface structure having an inert condition. The resultant treated product is merely immersed in a fluuorine ion containing polymer latex with a pH of 4.0 or less obtained by polymerizing one or more of an ethylenic unsaturated monomer (an acrylic type, a methacrylic type, a vinyl type or the like) so as to negatively charge a polymer particle and, thereby, a high concn. resin coating layer with uniform as well as strong close adhesiveness and a high density similar to an electrodeposition painting layer is obtained.
