Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit continuous feeding of materials into a heating furnace without opening and closing its door by providing a recess in the bottom end part of a transversely long door of an approximately sector shape section disposed in the front opening part of the furnace, and oscillating the door thereby feeding the materials into the furnace by means of the recess.
CONSTITUTION: A material A on a skid rail 29 is rolled by each piece into a recess 28 in the bottom end part of a door 24 via a guide plate 31 by the operation of a kicker 30. When the door is oscillated to the left side by driving of an operating cylinder 27, the material A rolls on the plate 31, is transferred onto a guide rod 32 in the furnace and is placed onto a stationary beam 33. Thence, it is transferred successively on the beam 33 by the operation of a moving beam 34 and is heat- treated. At this time, the total weight of the material A rolling on the plate 31 is supported by a furnace wall 25 and since the material A is held in the recess 28 and rolls, the rolling in excess of the oscillating speed of the door 24 does not occur. In this way, the materials A on the rail 29 are fed continuously into the furnace.
