Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a sheetlike food well efficiently, by forming a raw material e.g. vegetable or meat, into a sheet while removing the moisture from the raw material, and bonding a thin starchy film to one or both sides of the sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A transfer belt 4 of a raw material transferring conveyor 2 and a moisture absorbing belt 12 are moved in the direction of arrows, and a raw material e.g. a vegetable or meat, for a sheetlike food is fed to the right end of the belt 4. The raw material is then held by the moisture absorbing belt 12 under the influence of press rollers 17 pressed by springs 16 and the transferring belt 4 and molded into a thin sheet and to squeeze out the moisture contained in the sheet raw material. When the sheeted raw material is reached to the left end of the belt 4, a thin starchy film 22 hung from film rolls 21 is fed to cover one side of the sheetlike food by a press roller 23, and stuck to the sheetlike food by bonding rollers (22A) and (22B).
