Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a back-surface projection type screen which has superior diffusivity and superior matting effect by mixing a diffusing agent of 1-2mum mean grain size and >=1.5 refractive index into a methacrylic resin plate, by orienting it along one or two axes at a 0.15-30% drawing rate, and by forming a finely uneven surface on one side. CONSTITUTION:A 2wt% diffusing agent having 1-20mum mean grain size and >=1.5 refractive index, such as silicon oxide, aluminum hydroxide and calcium carbonate, is added to methacrylic resin syrup, and 11ppm aniline black and 2ppm phthalocyanine are further added; and they are injected into a continuous casting polymerizing device consisting of a couple of upper and lower endless belts to form a diffusion plate 1 having 2mm. plate thickness. This is oriented along one or two axes at 170 deg.C at a 0.15-30% drawing rate. Consequently, a back-surface projection type screen having superior diffusivity and superior matting effect is obtained.
