Abstract

PURPOSE: In order to automatically stop a transporting mover such as a stacker crane of an automatic storehouse with high accuracy, to reduce the volume of a control system by providing rough and fine address detecting mechanism to control the crane automatically through a pulse encoder.
CONSTITUTION: A pulse encoder 19 is coupled to a travelling wheel 18 of a stacker crane 1 to interlock therewith. Detected plates 20 having a fixed length are disposed in parallel to the travelling direction of the crane on every stop places corresponding to each load placing portion. The main body 5 of the crane is provided with a first detected plate detector 21 which corresponds to the central position of the detected plate 20 when the crane 1 is located at each stop place, and with a second detected plate detector 22 located at a position passing the detected plate 20. When the crane 1 reaches a goal rough address section, a pulse from the pulse encoder 19 is counted by a counter 34 only when the detector 21 travels in a fine address section for detecting the detected plate 20 so as to output a fine address present value 41, which is compared with a destination fine address set value 40. When they ar coincident, a stop signal 41 is output.
