Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an agricultural covering material which can effectively inhibit dewing phenomenon on its internal surface, consisting of a film of a resin obtd. by simultaneously blending both a polyhydric alcohol ester of a straight-chain higher fatty acid and a polyhydric alcohol ester of a branched higher fatty acid with a soft vinyl chloride resin.
CONSTITUTION: In the production of a light-transmissible agricultural covering material from a synthetic resin, which is used to cover crops grown in a plastic greenhouse, etc., 0.05W5pts.wt. polyhydric ester of a straight-chain higher fatty acid (e.g. polyethylene glycol palmitate or polypropylene glycol stearate) and polyhydric alcohol ester of a brached higher fatty acid (e.g. glycerol isopalmitate or sorbitan isostearate) in combination as fogproofing components, are blended with 100pts.wt. soft vinyl chloride resin. By using a film of the resulting soft vinyl chloride resin, the desired covering material is produced.
