Both thyristors are controlled alternately in every half cycle of a single-phase AC source voltage at a phase control angle alpha with a phase shifter P.S'. Therefore, a rise-up characteristic of a load current of the inductive load is improved by a forcing circuit FC. Moreover, with this system a power can be regenerated from the inductive load to the source, so the last transition characteristic is also improved.
