Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the air-fuel ratio characteristic of a carburetor, by introducing bleed air of the carburetor to an opening part, changing opening area of the opening part with a control ring in accordance with intake negative pressure and arranging the cnntrol ring to said opening part.
CONSTITUTION: A throat part 2 forming the venturi is provided in a carburetor housing 1, further there is arranged a slide valve 3 consisting of warhead-shaped valve body vertically movable coaxially of the throat part 2. While there are formed in the throat part 2 a plurality of annular sumps 9 communicated through a fuel sump 23 to a float chamber not shown. An air bleed device 5, with an opening at its another end to the atmosphere, is communicated to the fuel sump 23. Then to said opening a control ring 56 provided with a different opening 60 is turnably mounted in a face-to-face state simultaneously its turning motion is controlled by a diaphragm device 6 responsively operated to intake negative pressure.
