Abstract

PURPOSE: To rationalize air fuel ratio, by supplying the adequate quantity of air in response to a high-speed from a low-speed by dividing a carbureter into mixture and air supply pipes while opening and closing a throttle valve in the air pipe mechanically or by intake negative pressure.

CONSTITUTION: An intake passage is communicated with a float chamber 10, and partitioned into a mixture supply passage 22 provided with a primary throttle valve A and an air supply passage 23 equipped with a secondary throttle valve B and a lever 17 with a roller while a cam 16 is connected to a valve shaft of the primary throttle valve A, and the lever 17 with the roller connected to the secondary throttle valve B is disposed so as to contact with the cam 16. A rod 19 of a diaphragm device 12, to which the Venturi negative pressure of both passages 22, 23 is introduced, is further connected to the secondary throttle valve B. Thus, the secondary throttle valve B is operated only by the cam 16 when a low-speed that the difference of the negative pressure of both passages is small, and the valve is largely opened by the action of the device 12 when a high-speed.
