Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of cleaning by providing rollers, which are pressed against a fixing roller and have excellent affinity and normal affinity to toner, with blades which are pressed against the rollers strongly and weakly respectively. CONSTITUTION:On a fixing roller 1, cleaning rollers 10 and 11 which are pressed ed against it are provided. The cleaning roller 10 is made of a material which has excellent affinity to toner and excellent wear resistance, and a cleaning blade 12 is pressed against with strong pressure at a sharp end surface. The cleaning roller 11, on the other hand, is made of a material which has normal affinity to the toner and a cleaning member 13 is pressed against it with weak pressure. Then, those cleaning means remove the toner from the fixing roller in two stages, improving cleaning efficiency.
