Abstract
PURPOSE: When a thing to be sterilized is subjected to gas sterilization with heat, the heating is effected with high-frequency waves to shorten the heating time.
CONSTITUTION: The thing to sterilized 12 is placed between plate electrodes 6 and the sterilization gas is fed from bomb 8 through vaporizer 9 into chamber 1. When the concentration becomes a certain value, the valves 13 and 14 are closed to stop the supply of the gas. Then, the high frequency wave generator 5 is used to apply high frequency waves to the thing 12 between plate electrodes 6 to heat it. When the temperature of the thing reaches the predetermined level, the generator is stopped and the thing is heated with plane heater 2 to keep the thing 12 at the predetermined temperature. After completion of sterilization, the valves 13, 15 and 16 are opened and the vacuum pump 10 is driven to introduce air through the aspectic filter 17 into the chamber 1 and to transfer the gas in the chamber to the waste gas deposition device 11.
