Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent steel material from temp. drop in transporting and to eliminate the generation of crack and malformation by sticking a heat insulating material on the surface of said materials being in high temp. CONSTITUTION:In a direct rolling of a steel ingot from a soaking pit or cast billet by continuous casting, a heat insulating material of small heat conductivity and high porosity is stuck on a part of the surface being likely to cool, of steel stock 1 of high temp. with bonding agent of inorganic group for high temp, <1,200 deg.C m.p., and is transported to the rolling process.
