Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce an error in positioning an upper and a lower heads due to fluctuation of temperature by using a member, which has a linear expansion coefficient nearly equal to that of a movable arm, for a head carriage and holding the movable arm on it. CONSTITUTION:The base end part of a plate-like member 12 whose tip part is bent up at right angles is fixed near the fixation position of the lower head 2 of a carriage body 3 with a screw 13, and a leaf spring 6 supporting a movable arm 5 rotatably is fixed to a block 14, stuck atop of the plate-like member in one body, with a screw 15. The material of this plate-like spring 12 has a coefficient of linear expansion nearly equal to that of the movable arm. Consequently, this constitution reduces the extents of position shifts of upper and lower heads due to fluctuations of temperature. Therefore, the positioning precision of the head is improved.
