Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably control a position at the time of attaining a high density in a magnetic recording by constituting a flexible member having a lower face on which a magnetic head is attached of a high polymer resin. CONSTITUTION:The one end of a supporting body made of an elastic thin metal plate is attached and fixed to a rigid arm 21 mounted on a positioning mechanism by connecting means 211, 212 such as a screw and the flexible member 23 is attached to the free end at one longitudinal end of the supporting body 22 and the magnetic head 24 is attached to the lower face of the flexible member 23. Then, the flexible member 23 is constituted of the high polymer resin such as polyimide. Thereby, the flexible member 23 weak in a spring characteristic and high in the degree of freedom of a twist and an elongation is obtained and the stable position control operation is obtained even at the time of attaining the high density of the magnetic recording.
