Abstract
PURPOSE: To titled filler composition that is mainly composed of an inorganic filler treated with a specific organoaluminum compound, thus giving good moldability to the polymer, even when added there in a large amount, diminishing the discoloration, further increasing the impact strength and mechanical properties of the moldings.
CONSTITUTION: The objective inorganic filler composition is mainly composed of an inorganic filler treated with an organoaluminum compound of the formula: Al(A)n(B)3-n (n is 1, 2; A is hydrolyzable group; B is nonhydrolyzable group). The used organoaluminum compound has 1W5C alkoxy groups as A and acyloxy groups as B. The inorganic filler is a metal, silicate or glass fiber and treated in such a manner as the filler is mixed with 0.01W10wt% aluminum compound. The polymer is a polyolefin.
