PURPOSE:To protect an equipment easily and securely by providing a measurement part with a functuon of displaying the 1st overrange region where measurement precision is not secured and the 2nd overrange region where the equipment possibly damages. CONSTITUTION:Pressure Pi to be measured is detected by a pressure sensor PS, whose output is supplied to an ADC and the 1st and 2nd overrange detecting circuits OR1 and OR2. When the pressure Pi is in a normal region, the detecting circuits OR1 and OR2 supply H-level signals to gates G1 and G2 respectively, and a signal from the ADC is displayed on a display part DIS. Once the Pi enters the 1st overrange region, the circuit OR1 outputs signals H and L alternately and the circuit OR2 outputs the signal H, so that the display DIS flashes. When the Pi enges the 2nd overrange region, the output of the OR2 goes down to the L and the display DIS goes off. Thus, an equipment is protected easily and securely.
