Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a compact design in a 4-spring short rocker type tandem suspension system marking device by providing the center of revolution of an equalizer center hanger at a specified location.
CONSTITUTION: A 4-spring short rocker type suspension system mounts front, center, and rear hangers 2 to 4 on a chassis frame 1 and arranges plate springs 5 and 6 between an equalizer 7 which is mounted on the center hanger 3 so as to freely revolve and the hangers 2 and 4. Besides, both the respective hangers 2 and 3 and front and rear wheels 7 and 8 are connected by means of torque rods 15 and 16. In the said structure, the center of revolution in the hanger 3 of the equalizer 7 is provided at the upper part than a straight line which is connected to the connecting center of revolution of each shackles 8 on both ends of the equalizer 7. That is, when the full length of the equalizer 7 is approximately 600mm, the center of revolution is deflected upward by approximately 35W 100mm.
