    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. シリンダ孔の形成されたシリンダブロックと、シリンダ
    孔に摺動自在に収納され、上端略中央部にキャビティが
    形成されたピストンと、シリンダブロックの上端に固定
    され、シリンダブロックおよびピストンとともに燃焼室
    を画成するシリンダヘッドと、前記キャビティに向って
    数条の燃料噴霧を噴射する燃料噴射ノズルと、を備えた
    直接噴射式ディ°−ゼルエンジンにおいて、前記キャビ
    ティの壁面に周方向に延在する複数の溝を形成し、この
    溝に向って前記燃料噴射ノズルから燃料噴霧を噴射する
    ようにしたことを特徴とする直接噴射式ディーゼルエン
    ジン。
