において、流体と接触する弁箱内面をチタン等の耐蝕性
材料でライニングした例があるが、この場合は弁体に耐
蝕性材料によるライニングが施されていないため、弁体
の損傷を防止できず、また弁体の両側に開口があるため
、弁開放時に弁体の上流側及び下流側が連通してし1い
、上流側と下流側とで圧力差がある場合、高圧力側から
低圧力側への空気の漏洩を防止できないという欠点があ
った。

装置によれば、弁体の回転につれて弁箱内面に設けられ
た前記シート保護筒と弁体の切欠部内側に設けられた保
護リングとにより、礫等の固形物をかみくだき、かみく
だいた礫等を弁体内に収容しながら弁体が回転し、弁箱
の排出口から排出する。
