Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はシリアルプリンタの活字選択制御方式従来、ス
テップモータを利用した、活字体の回転及び上下運動に
よる活字選択機構においては、停止時の保持力が弱く、
リボンカセット又は、活字体の交換時、人為的な力によ
り、活字体が動き、それにより活字選択位置が狂っても
、そのエラーを検出できず、誤印字を起こす欠点があっ
た。
本発明はリボンカセット及び活字体の交換後プリンタカ
バーを閉じ、た時、活字体を初期位置に戻すことにより
、上記欠点を解決し、誤印字を防止できるようにした装
置を提供するものである。
本発明においては、プリンタカバーが閉じた時活字体を
初期位置に戻すことによって活字選択を補正する。
活字体の停止位置は、マイクロプロセッサにより記憶さ
れているが、プリンタカバー開閉時、マイクロプロセッ
サは活字体を初期位置に次し、記憶している現在位置も
初期位置に戻す。
次に本発明の実施例を示した図面を参照して本発明を説
明する。
図面に示した本発明の一笑施例は、活字選択制御用マイ
クロプロセッサ１と活字選択機構２とホーム信号検出回
路３とプリンタカバーの開閉検出素子４とを含む。
操作者がリボンカセット又は活字体の交換をするために
プリンタカバーを開けると、プリンタの印字動作は停止
する。交換終了後、プリンタカバーを閉じると、プリン
タカバー開閉検出素子４からの信号が検出され、活字選
択制御用マイクロプロセッサ１は活字選択機構２を一定
速度で駆動しはじめホーム信号検出回路３によりホーム
信号が検出されると活字選択機構２の駆動を停止し、活
字体を初期位置に設定する。
以上の様な制御方法によｐ％操作者がリボンカセット又
は活字体の交換をする時に活字体を人為的に動かしても
、プリンタは誤印字をせずに正常な印字を続けることが
できる。
本発明は以上説明したように、プリンタカバーを閉じた
時、活字体を初期位置に戻すことにより活字選択補正を
する効果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. ステップモータによシ駆動される回転型活字体と、活字
    体の初期位置を検出する手段と、プリンタカバーの開閉
    を検出する手段と、前記プリンタカバーが閉じた時、活
    字体を初期位置に戻す手段とを具備することを特徴とす
    るダシリ′アルプリンタの活字選択制御方式。
