As a display device, liquid crystal displays have gained a large market share. However, as the purposes of use have diversified in recent years, liquid crystal display devices that can operate over a four-wide temperature range have been desired, and color liquid crystal displays in particular The development of display devices has progressed, and when used as an in-vehicle display, the desired operating temperature range is -30°C to +80°C.However, liquid crystal display devices cannot be used at temperatures below about 0°C due to the deterioration of the characteristics of liquid crystal at low temperatures. cannot be used as In order to overcome this drawback, a method has been taken to sprinkle heaters on the liquid crystal display board. Conventionally, a heat source such as a halogen lamp is provided externally, and a so-called Nesa heater is provided on the back surface of the back plate of the liquid crystal display board.

However, the method of providing an external heat source such as a halogen lamp consumes a large amount of power to quickly raise the temperature of the LCD panel to a usable temperature, and when used in a reflective LCD device, the Since a reflector is inserted between the display board and the heat source, the efficiency is significantly reduced. In addition, the method of installing a Nesa heater on the back of the back plate is superior to other methods in that it can raise the temperature uniformly over the entire surface. However, it costs a lot of money to form a net.Furthermore, the method of attaching a metal plate with good thermal conductivity to the back of the back plate and providing a heat source on a part of this metal plate is It is good to use this metal plate as it is as a reflector, but if you use a white reflector,
The disadvantage of inserting a reflective plate between the liquid crystal display board and the metal plate was that the efficiency was significantly reduced. The present invention was made to overcome these drawbacks of heaters. Examples of the present invention are as follows. Show and explain. Figure jg1 shows an embodiment of the present invention, in which a cover plate 11 and a back plate 12 having a desired transparent electrode pattern formed thereon are bonded together using an adhesive 13.
The liquid crystal display panel 1 is completed by injecting the liquid crystal 14 inside. Next, a highly thermally conductive silicone compound (for example, Tone Silicone 5H340) 22 is applied to a thickness of approximately 1 m over the entire back surface of the back plate 12. Furthermore, as a heat source, nichrome wires 21 with a diameter of 0.5 mm are installed at appropriate intervals (for example, 10 m+ spacing), and a silicone compound with high thermal conductivity (for example, Tone Silicone 8H340) is applied to cover the nichrome wires. ) was applied again to form heater 2. The liquid crystal display device manufactured in this way was left at -30° C., and a voltage of IOV was applied to the nichrome wire 21. The temperature of the liquid crystal reached 0° C. in about 3 minutes, and it became operational. In addition, this silicone compound 8H340 is white and can act as a reflector by itself, and since the nichrome wire is embedded in the silicone compound, the nichrome wire is not visible from the direction of light display. The wire can be stretched in any way you want, and even if the nichrome wire is stretched only on the edge of the silicone compound, the temperature can be raised evenly.

効果は非常に顕著でめるOAs described above, by applying a highly thermally conductive silicone compound to the back surface of the back plate and installing a heat source inside it as a heater as in the present invention, there is no need to use a reflective plate, resulting in cost reduction. The effects of the present invention are very noticeable, such as being able to raise the temperature of the liquid crystal display panel relatively uniformly.
