Abstract

PURPOSE:To widen the service area of a portable telephone system wherein radio equipment is connected to a subscriber line material, by providing a device for transmitting an incoming annunciation signal by radio in an area including service areas of subscriber line terminals, and an automatic transfer function to a subscriber telephone network respectively. CONSTITUTION:When an incoming signal arrives at a portable telephone set 10a, an exchange 7a equipped with the telephone set 10a actuates radio equipment 12, which transmits an incoming annunciation signal to a wide call area. Once receiving said incoming annunciation signal, the telephone set 10a sets a radio circuit to a nearby base station (or base station 9d when moving into an area D) to send an incoming transfer request to the exchange 7a through an exchange 7b, and the exchange 7a transfers the incoming to the telephone set 10a to the telephone set 9d.
