  1. 電子写真方式により得られた潜像にトナーホッパから流
    出するトナーを付けるプリンタ現像部のトナー残量検知
    装置において、トナーホッパの横断面全体の面積を有す
    る蓋状の平板と、該平板が所定位置以下に落下したこと
    を検知する検知装置とを具備することを特徴とするトナ
    ー残量検知装置。
