Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
電子タイプライタ−等のシリアル印字装置ではオペレー
ターに次の印字位置を知らせる方法として、印字用紙上
に印字装置よりスポット光を照射することが考えられる
。

本発明はそのスポット光の反射光を印字用紙の有無判定
にも利用するものである。即ちスポット光は常に次の印
字位置を照射しているので、スポット光が印字用紙から
はずれた場合にただちにこれを検出し、プラテン上への
誤印字防止ができる。

印字用紙の有無判定は受光素子７のレベルを７′リンタ

- 印字用紙上の次の印字位置を照射する手段からの反射光
を印字用紙の有無判定に用いた事を特徴とする印字装置
