Various types of operation switches are provided on the operation surface of electronic devices, and in recent years, many of these switches have been digitized and configured with so-called feather-touch elements.
The number of operation switches has increased due to the multi-functionality of electronic devices, and the current situation is such that the switches on the operation surface have to be mounted in high density due to the miniaturization of thousands of devices. This often results in erroneous operation, and especially in the case of the above-mentioned feather-touch type switch element, there is a high risk of erroneous operation due to the characteristics of the switch.

FIG. 1 is a circuit diagram of an embodiment of the present invention, and a case in which the present invention is applied to operation switch element groups 1 to 7 in a tape player will be explained below. Switches 1 to 4 are the so-called PLAY (playback), FF (fast forward), and R switches of the tape player.
These are operation switches that command each operation mode of EW (rewind) and 5TOP (stop), and are a group of switches that control the so-called dynamic operation of the device. Switches 5 to 7 are operation switches for commanding circuit characteristics of the tape player, such as equalizer characteristics, Dolby characteristics, and tone characteristics, respectively, and are a group of switches for controlling so-called static characteristics of the device.

One end of switch groups 1 to 4 that control dynamic characteristics is common and connected to a fixed contact a of output selection switch 8, and one end of switch groups 5 to 7 that control static characteristics is common. Similarly, it is connected to the fixed contact of switch 8. The movable contact C of the switch 8 is grounded. The other end of each switch 1-7 serves as a corresponding operation command switch output terminal 01-07, and is connected to a power source B via a corresponding pull-up resistor R1-R7.

By doing this, if the contact C of the output selection switch 8 is switched to the terminal a side, the dynamic characteristic control switch groups 1 to 4
The corresponding switch output can be derived from each of the output terminals 01 to 04. On the other hand, if the switch 8 is switched to terminal 1, the static characteristic control switch groups 5 to 7 can be operated, and corresponding switch outputs can be derived from the output terminals 05 to 07.

Here, if the static characteristics are set when setting the tape, there is no need to change the characteristics after that, so switch 8 is normally set to the contact a side, and switch 8 is set to the contact side when setting the tape. All you have to do is set the characteristics. At this time, for example, even if the adjacent switch 4 is accidentally touched while operating the switch 5, the output 04 of the switch 4 is cut off, thereby preventing erroneous operation. Even if you switch the dynamic characteristics with the same kettle with switch 8 set to contact a side, each output 05 to 07 will be disconnected even if you accidentally touch any of switches 5 to 7. This means that there is no malfunction.

In this example, the switch 8 is completely similar to the circuit shown in FIG.
It is clear that a group selection of outputs 01-04 of switch elements 1-4 and outputs 05-07 of switch elements 5-7 is possible according to the operation.

M3 figure is still another actual M! of the present invention! ! This is an example, in which various switch element groups 9 to 14 are arranged in a so-called matrix shape.
Each switch element is connected to each intersection of the lines 11 to I3 in the column and the lines in the two rows (0+ or 02 or 03') as shown. Two fixed contacts a of the output selection switch 8.

In this configuration, if the output selection switch 8 is switched to the contact a side, each touch (press) operation of the switches 9 to 11 causes the corresponding output to be set to the output terminal. 1. On the other hand, if the switch 8 is set as the contact side, each operation of the switches 9 to 71 will lead to a corresponding output to the output terminal 02. Thus, using the switch 8 the output o1 or. 2
Since one of the switches 9 to 11 is selectively derived, it is possible to operate each of the switches 9 to 11 as an equivalent switch for two types of operations, and the number of switch elements can be reduced. This makes it possible to prevent erroneous operations and contribute to downsizing of equipment.

In this example, gates 15 and 16 are provided in place of the output selection switch 8 in FIG. 1, and the other end of the dynamic characteristic control switch group 1-4 is connected via the gate 15! 1, gate 1
6, the other ends of the static characteristic control switch groups 5 to 7 are grounded. Then, both gates 15 and 16 are connected to timer 1.
7's complementary outputs (Q, Q), respectively.
A trigger switch 18 is provided to trigger this timer 17. The other configurations are the same as the example shown in FIG. 1, and their explanation will be omitted.

Currently, when timer 17 is not triggered and the base is passed, it is 0.
If the output is at a high level and gate 15 is on, the Q output of the timer is at a low level and gate 16 is off. Therefore, only the outputs 01 to 04 of the dynamic characteristic control switch group are in a state where they can be selectively derived.

Next, when the trigger switch 18 is operated, the timer 17 is triggered and its Q and Q outputs are inverted, so that the gate 15 is turned off and the gate 16 is turned on. Therefore, each output 05 to 07 of the dynamic characteristic control switch group can be selectively derived. Q of fixed time contact timer 17.

Since it is sufficient to operate the dynamic characteristic control switch groups 5 to 7 for a certain period of time at a certain time such as when the tape is loaded, a timer is used as shown in Fig. 4 to control the necessary constant operation. It is only necessary to make it possible to derive the outputs 01 to 07 only with time, and it is extremely convenient because the outputs 01 to 07 are always returned to the initial state after a certain period of time has elapsed. Second
It is clear that the gate circuit and timer of this example can be applied to the example shown in the figure.

FIG. 5 is a diagram showing still another embodiment of the present invention, in which all outputs 01 to 05 of switches 1 to 5 are cut off for a certain period of time to prevent erroneous operation when pull-down resistors R1 to R5 are used. This is what I did. Therefore, a gate 19 is inserted between the power supply +B and the common curved end of each switch 1 to 5, and a timer 17 turns off this gate for a certain period of time. 18 is a timer trigger switch. still,
The output of the timer 17 may turn on the gate 19 for a certain period of time so that the switch outputs 01 to 05 can be derived only during that period.

FIG. 6 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which a timer or the like is used in the circuit of FIG. 3 to make it possible to derive the output 02 only for a certain period of time. Equivalent parts are indicated by the same reference numerals in both figures. That is, the common inputs of gates 15 and 16 are connected to one row line, and the outputs of gates 15 and 16 are output terminals 0+ and 02, respectively.
5 and 16 are controlled to be turned on and off by the Φ and Q outputs of the timer 17, respectively. Therefore, since the gate 15 is normally on, the command output of each switch 9 to 11 can be derived to the output OI. ~11
0 command output can be derived as output 02.

As shown above, according to the present invention, it is possible to selectively derive at least some of the operation command switch outputs from the operation switch group, so that the dynamic characteristics, static characteristics, etc. of the equipment can be improved. It is now possible to use switch groups separately for each function, which greatly contributes to preventing erroneous operation. Also, since one switch can have two types of functions, the number of switches can be reduced. This makes it possible to reduce the size of the device. It is particularly suitable for cases where switches that can be easily operated by mistake, such as feather touch keys, are mounted in high density, and for in-vehicle devices.
