Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a carpet backing adhesive compsn. excellent in bonding strength and viscosity stability, by mixing a copolymer latex, epoxy compd. and compd. having an aziridine ring at a specific wt. ratio. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. (on a solid basis) copolymer latex such as styrene/ butadiene rubber latex or methyl methacrylate/butadiene rubber latex, 0.01- 10pts.wt. epoxy compd. prepared by the reaction of aliph. polyols (e.g., ethylene glycol) or arom. polyols (e.g., catechol) with halohydrin (e.g., epichlorohydrin), and 0.01-10pts.wt. compd. having an aziridine ring (e.g., diphenylmethane diethyleneurea) are mixed to yield the intended compsn.

クス、塩化ビニル−アクリレート共重合体ラテックスな
どカーペット裏打ち処理に使用可能な一般の共重合体ラ

体ラテックスはカルボキシル基、アマイド基、グリシジ
ル基又はスルホン酸基などを含んでいてもよい。特にカ
ルボキシル基で変性された共重合体ラテックスが好まし

ルシン、カテコール、ノ・イドロキノン1.3.5)リ
ヒドロキシベンゼン、ビス(4−ヒドロキンフェニル)
メタン、ビス(4−ヒドロキシフェニル)ジメチルメタ
ン、4゜4′−ビヒドロキシフェニル等の芳香族多価ア
ルコールとエピクロルヒドリンの如キハロヒドリンとの
反応生成物、ジグリシジルエーテル、−カルボキシレー
