Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify constitution of a wire conveyer for discharging chips from a machine tool and improve durability and versatility of the wire conveyer, by constituting the wire conveyer in such a manner that a number of chip catching members are provided to an endlessly connected wire and the chips are hooked and conveyed. CONSTITUTION:As a driving roller 2 is rotated, wire 4 is moved in the direction of an arrow head by engaging catching members 5 of a conveyer, constituted by endlessly connecting the wire 4, to grooves 2a of the roller 2. In accordance with the movement of said wire 4, the catching member 5, when passing through in a chip receiver trough 1, hooks a chip to be carried to a chute 6 and dropped into a collector and delivery vehicle 7 from a dropping port 1a. By this constitution, a chip discharge conveyer of high durability and versatility is obtained with simple constitution.

As machine tools become faster and heavier in cutting, the disposal of chips becomes an increasingly important issue that design engineers and field workers struggle with. For this purpose, a discharge conveyor is built into the machine or installed under the floor. This type uses a set of screws or a hinge type with protrusions, but it is expensive, has limitations on installation locations, and is not capable of sufficient performance.

A chip receiving trough 1 provided on the side surface of a machine tool or the like has a droplet 1a cut at the bottom of the end. At both ends of this gutter, a driving roller 2 rotated by a motor (not shown) and a driven roller 3 applying tension are rotatably installed, and the rollers 2 and 3 are provided with chip catching portions at equal intervals. Grooves 2a-3a into which the wires are fitted are cut out at equal intervals on the circumference, and grooves for receiving the wire are formed on the circumference. A chip catching piece 5 is placed in the groove 2 between the driving roller 2 and the driven roller 3.
A plurality of steel wires 4 are stretched around the entire circumference at intervals equal to the intervals a and 6a.

A chip chute 6 is attached below the drop opening 1a of the chip receiver @1, and a chip collection and delivery vehicle 7 is placed at the outlet of the chip chute 6. The brackets for the chip catching part can be freely selected as long as they are easy to catch, but for example, as shown in Fig. 6, the wire 4 can be inserted into the hole of the disk 51 and fixed by caulking with metal fittings 52 on both sides, or it can be fixed by fusion. 1% Pour into type Ii and fix. In this case, the wire 4 is a single continuous wire and has particularly excellent durability. Also, as shown in Figure 4, the ring 53
Alternatively, polygonal rings may be used and these rings may be connected endlessly by wires 4. In this case, the length of the wire is short enough to match the distance between the grooves of the roller.

Further, as shown in FIG. 5, it is fixed to the wire 4 by caulking or the like. In this case, the wire 4 is one continuous wire. The hooking member may also be a packet, and in this case, it is effective for catching casting chips, and is effective when the wire is arranged so as to lift it in the vertical direction.

When the drive roller 2 rotates due to the rotation of a motor (not shown), the hook member 5 engages with the groove 2a, so the wire 4 rotates in the direction of the arrow, the hook member 5 moves, and the chips accumulated in the chip receiving gutter 1 are removed. The chips are caught and dropped into the chip chute O through the droplet 1a, and collected in the collection and delivery vehicle 7.

An eccentric drive roller 11 is rotatably supported horizontally at one corner of the reservoir groove 1Oa, and is rotated by a motor (not shown). At the other three corners, there is also an eccentric driven roller 12.
13 and 14 are rotatably supported horizontally, and each roller has grooves cut at equal intervals on its outer periphery and a concave groove for receiving a wire on its circumference. A conveyor made of endless wire 4 is stretched around these four square rollers 11, 12, 13, and 14.

When the drive roller 11 is rotated by a motor (not shown), the wire 4 is moved because the hook member 5 is engaged with the groove of the drive roadie 1. Drive roller 11, driven roller 1
2, 13, and 14 are all eccentric, the path of the wire 4 is swung with a width twice the amount of eccentricity, and the chips accumulated in the collecting groove 10'a are evenly discharged. Note that if the width of the reservoir groove is narrow, it is of course unnecessary to use eccentric rollers, and it is also possible to arrange a plurality of rows according to the shape of the reservoir groove.
