本発明は人工銘板の製造方法に関し、単板1と水を含浸
せしめた水膨潤性の合成樹脂板2とをそれぞれ複数枚積
み重ね、上型5と下型6間にこの積層物をプレス成形し
てフリツチ8を形成し、このフリツチ8をスライスする
ことを特徴とする人工銘板の製造方法に係るものである

く行なわれているが、単に木質単板を積層しただけのも
のであるので、単純な木目模様しか人工銘板に表出させ

ことができ、加えて特別な10凹凸加工を施す必要なく
人工銘板に凹凸模様を付与することができる人工銘板の

単板1は原木をロータリースライスなどして得られるも
ので、単板1に15は夏目色又は冬目色の染色を施して
おく。合成樹脂板2としては、ポリビニルアルコールを
変性することにより水に不溶性とした変性ポリビニルア
ルコールのような水に膨潤するものを用い、合成樹脂板
2を染色しておく。この合成樹脂板2に水20を含浸さ
せて膨潤せしめておき、単板1と単板との間に、又は2
〜3枚おき間に接着剤を介して合成樹脂板2を挿し入れ
て第1図のように積み重ねこれを平板状の上下型間もし
くは第2図のような凸曲部3と凹曲部4を有する上下型
5、6間でプ25レスしてフリツチ8を得る。第3図は
平板状の上下型で成形したフリツチ8を示し、このフリ
ツチにあつては積層面と垂直な面にてカッター9でスラ
イスして人工銘板Aを得るものであり、また第5図は凸
曲部3と凹曲部4を有する上下型5、630で形成した
フリツチ8で、このものではフリツチ8が屈曲されてい
るので水平にスライスすることにょり、スライス面に単
板1と合成樹脂板2のスライス部分が木目模様状に表わ
れた人工銘板Aを得ることができる。これら人工銘板A
を低級材な95どの台板10上に貼り付け、乾燥させる
と、合成樹脂板2部分より水分が蒸発し、合成樹脂板2
部分は膨潤状態から収縮することになり、第3図のへ〜
フリツチ8より得た人工銘板Aには第4図のような凹部
分が、第5図のフリツチ8より得た人工銘板Aには第6
図のような木目模様状に凹部分がそれぞれ生じ、凹凸模
様が形成されるものである(第1図、第3図、第5図で
