とで構成される空間内で、かつ半径方向には羽根車外周
面より余り離れず、直接貫通流れの影響が及ばない範囲
に限定される。これはうす制御物体4を上記範囲に挿入
することにより、最終的には貫通流れが直接うす制御物
体4に衝突するのでなく、循環流れVのみがうす制御物
体4の前面部をなめるように流れるため、流体抵抗の増
加を生ずることなくうすをコントロールできるためと考
えられる。したがって前記範囲を逸脱するとうすの制御
はできなくなる上に、挿入物体が流体抵抗の増加するこ
とだけに寄与するため逆効果になることが多い。
