    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 被取付部材にアッパブラケットとロアブラケットを介し
    てコラムを取付け、このコラムにステアリングホイール
    を有するステアリングシャフｌ−’５軸支したステアリ
    ング装置において、上記取付用材にロアブラケットを固
    定する固定部を有するフランジを設け、このフランジの
    上記固定部近傍に切欠部を設け、上記コラムに軸方向の
    衝撃荷重力加った場合にフランジが切欠部から切り裂け
    るようにしたことを特徴とする衝撃吸収式ステアリング
    装置。
