    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 車体のダッシュサイド間に支持部材を横設し、該支持部
    材にステアリングシャフトを回転自在に支持包囲するジ
    ャケットチューブをブラケットを介して支持し、前記ス
    テアリングシャフトを所定、以上の衝撃荷重によって軸
    方向に摺動可能にするとともに、ジャケットチューブを
    支持するブラケットと車体前方のダッシュ部間にエネル
    ギ吸収部材を配設したことを特徴とするエネルギ吸収式
    ステアリング装置。
