DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a joint material. In particular, it relates to a so-called expansion and contraction joint construction in which the main body of the joint material is formed of synthetic resin foam and a reinforcing cap is placed on top of the main body.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the conventional expansion joint material has a cap 2 on the top of a joint material body 1, and supports legs 3, fixing mortar 4, or adhesive 5. The cap 2 is usually molded from vinyl chloride in consideration of weather resistance and economical efficiency. There is some time between the placement of the joint material and the pouring of concrete, and during that time, when sunlight hits from the direction of the arrow as shown in Figure 3, the side exposed to sunlight expands as shown by the imaginary line, causing the continuous joint material to expand. 20 to 3 per unit length of 2m
The phenomenon of curving by as much as 0mm occurs, and if concrete is placed in this condition, the joints will not be straight but wavy, resulting in a significant loss of aesthetics. Such thermal expansion of the cap 2 is caused by shrinkage of the cap 2 after joint construction, and as shown in FIG.
A space as large as 0 to 110 mm may be generated.

In order to eliminate such joint defects, in the case of the joint material of the type shown in Figure 1, measures have been taken to prevent the joint material by fixing it with mortar 4 over the entire length of the joint material. Not only is the fixing work by 4 complicated and poor workability, but also the space 6 shown in Fig.
The occurrence of this cannot be prevented. The type of joint material shown in Figure 2 does not use mortar, so there is no other solution than to choose a time when there is no sunlight and perform joint construction. It has been proposed to modify the cross-sectional shape of the cap 2 in various ways, or to use iron plates or the like for reinforcement, but this may lead to rusting or loss of elasticity against forces from the side of the cap 2. However, there are many drawbacks such as high cost, etc., and solutions to these problems have become a challenge for the industry.

This invention was created in view of ``2.
The purpose of this invention is to create a novel structure of a joint material that can effectively prevent curvature and shrinkage of the joint material (cap) and that can be manufactured at low cost.Examples of this invention are attached below. This will be explained in detail according to the drawings.

The material of the reinforcement A 27 may be any material with a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than the material N of the cap 2 (generally vinyl chloride), and
The cap 2 and the reinforcing material 7 may be joined together at the same time when the cap 2 is formed by extrusion molding or the like, or they may be joined later using an adhesive or the like. The position of the reinforcement 7 is that the reinforcing material 7 is mainly attached to the cap 2.
Although consideration must be given to the effect on the side plate of the sixth
As shown in Figures to Figure 8, it may be embedded in the inner surface or the entire inner side of the cap 2, or in the side plate.

Since the joint material of this invention is configured as described above,
For example, even in the case where the cap 2 is molded from vinyl chloride, the expansion and contraction of the cap 2 is reduced by the presence of the reinforcing material 7, so that the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional joint material can be effectively prevented. I can do it.
