Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the rate of lose contact of current collecting shoes and to increase the lifetime of the shoes by providing carbon fiber-reinforced plastic current collecting shoes having insulating layers on the surface, slide plates and electric input conductors. CONSTITUTION:Two current collecting shoes 1 are connected by coupling frames 2. Slide plates 3 are split by half on the shoes 1 and mounted by bolts. Electric input conductors 4 are formed of aluminum having approx. 0.8mm. of thickness, interposed between the slide plates 3 and the shoes 1, and partly extended at the side faces of the shoes 1. A current is inputted via copper lead woven wires from the extended parts. The shoes 1 are formed of insulating layers 6 having approx. 0.7mm. of thickness on the surfaces of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic 5 having approx. 3mm. of thickness. The plastic 5 is formed of carbon cloth and epoxy resin. The layer 6 is formed of glass fiber-reinforced silicone resin consisting of glass cloth and silicone resin.
