Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of workability by simplifying the winding structure by a method wherein a heater is stuck to the outer periphery of a heat-treated switch body. CONSTITUTION:After a superconductor 3 and a heater 4 are wound around a metallic or ceramic bobbin 1, it is heat-treated. Next, the heater 6 is stuck to the outer periphery thereof. Then, it is covered with thermal insulation epoxy resin. Such a formation simplifies the winding structure and thus improves the workability.

There are two methods of manufacturing switches using Nb3Sn superconductors. This is a method of winding a superconducting wire that has been heat-treated to form Nb38n, but in this case, a large amount of bending φ is added to the Nb3Sn, and the current carrying capacity of the superconducting wire is significantly deteriorated. Furthermore, when using a tape-shaped superconducting wire with little bending, there are drawbacks such as limited shape and poor workability.

The second method is to wind the wire before heat treatment and then heat treat it to create υNb.
, sn is formed. In this case, since bending strain is not an issue, the conductor dimensions can be freely selected, and the winding work can be done without worrying about bending or the like.

The present invention relates to a switch structure using this second manufacturing method. Since the heat treatment temperature after winding is as high as about 700°0, conventional switch-off heaters were insulated with glass cloth or the like and wound together with the superconducting wire. However, there were 19 drawbacks such as the winding structure was complicated and the workability was poor.

FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the invention in which the heater is not wound within the bobbin. After the wound frame is heat-treated, a heater wire 6 coated with formal leather or the like is attached to its outer periphery. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, the heater wire may be wound around the entire winding frame in a toroidal manner. On top of this, perform the same insulation treatment as before.
