Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain non-inductive property uniformly, permit the design of insulation easily and improve a space factor, by a method wherein an oxide high-temperature superconductive material is wound around a matrix, formed into column or cylindrical shape, so as to obtain the shape of a coil while the two layers of the coil are wound reversely to each other. CONSTITUTION:An oxide high-temperature superconductive material 1a, having a critical temperature higher than liquid nitrogen, is wound around a cylindrical matrix 1b so as to obtain the shape of coils. The coils (a1), (a2),... of the oxide high-temperature superconductive material 1a and the coils (b1), (b2),... of the same material are wound reversely to each other, therefore, the coils generate no induction. When a current, bigger than a critical current such as short-circuit current, is conducted, the coils (a1), (a2),..., (b1), (b2),... are quenched whereby the resistances of them become high and the coils may limit the current.
