Works up and down within the company. Another gear 18 which is interlocked with the shaft 4 meshes with the gear 16 provided on the needle twill support section b, and is configured to be rotatable as will be described later. However, it is provided with a nipple 14 at its lower end. An annular presser 20 is provided at the lower end of the cloth feed c, and a cloth feed c is provided at the upper end in conjunction with the upper shaft 4.
A section 22 is provided to give vertical movement to the section 22, and a part of the section 22 is connected to a cloth feeding moving ring 30, which will be described later.

The leg part 29 moves up and down by moving the moving ring 30 up and down by touching and separating from the lower surface of the moving ring 30 that is aligned with the supporting cylinder b, and through the tongue-like member 32 attached to the outside of the needle birch supporting cylinder, The movable ring 30 moves in the lateral direction, and the cloth feed c connected to the three movable rings also moves in the same direction. Therefore, the cloth feed c performs a so-called four-movement feeding action by the combination of the vertical movement of the member 22 and the horizontal movement of the cloth feed c. However, the normal feeding direction is the tongue-shaped portion 3.
This is the direction facing 2. That is, the tongue 3 in FIG.
2, the feeding action is performed from the front to the rear. Next, to explain the configuration shown in FIG.
The looper shaft 42 rotates through a and 36b,
This rotational movement is transmitted to the gears 18, 16 via the third gear groups 38a, 38b and the fourth gear groups 40a, 40b, resulting in a rotational movement of the needle bar support b.

。At the same time, the rotational movement of the looper shaft 42 causes the rotation of the looper gear 44 provided at the end of the looper.
The looper 46 meshing with the looper 4 also rotates. The above is an outline of the structure of the single chainstitch sewing machine as a subsidiary example, and although it is not directly related to the present invention, it is necessary to explain its operation etc. in relation to the present invention. Next, the configuration and operation of the looper, which are directly related to the present invention, will be explained.

A through hole 48 through which the sewing thread passes is bored in the direction of the central axis of the looper 46, a spiral notch 52 is provided in the head 5, and a longitudinal groove is provided near the end of the spiral notch in the direction of the ball of the looper 46. 54 is drilled. A helical gear 58 is formed on the body portion 56, and the lower end of the Tsukioka portion extends to form a leg portion 59. The throat plate 6 has a circular shape, and around its center point are provided a plurality of needle holes 62 and the same number of thread holes 64 adjacent to these holes (FIG. 5).

b. Since the looper shaft 42 rotates together with the looper gear 44 via the second gear group 36a, 36b (in this case, the looper shaft 42 only rotates and does not make horizontal reciprocating motion), the louver 46 that meshes with it rotates in a predetermined direction. As the sewing thread 72 rotates, the thread 72 moves along the spiral cutout 52 of the looper and becomes hooked in the longitudinal groove 54. Once the sewing thread 72 is stuck in the groove 54, the needle a with the crochet hook 10 attached thereto is moved up and down, and the sewing thread 72 is hooked on the tip of the crochet hook and pulled up to the upper surface of the fabric W, thus completing the preparation. Next, when the crochet needle 10 and the sewing thread 72 pass through the fabric W and move up and down as the upper shaft 4 rotates, the looper 46 adjusts the timing to the operation of the needle a to solve problems with the sewing thread 72. Since it makes a half-rotation reciprocating motion, the crochet needle 10' threads the sewing thread 72 at regular intervals. The above-mentioned half-rotation movement of the looper 46 is possible by reciprocating the looper shaft 42 in the direction of the arrow (FIG. I) and rotating the looper gear 44 meshed therewith.
Although not shown, the looper shaft 42 is connected to the upper shaft 4 of the head, and as the upper shaft 4 rotates by operating the balance wheel 5, a biasing device 74 provided at the end of the shaft is biased. The motion is transmitted to the looper shaft 42 via the vertical shaft 9 and converted into a reciprocating motion. Further, the vertical shaft 9 and the looper shaft 42 are connected to each other by a detachable coupling mechanism, as shown in the drawing. In addition, in order to adjust the feeding direction of the cloth feed c, the needle birch support cylinder b is rotated through a plurality of groups of gears that move by operating the handle, and the tongue-like part attached to this is rotated. As described above, this is possible by changing the position of 32. As mentioned above, in the looper of the conventional single chain stitch sewing machine, at the beginning of sewing, the sewing thread is first pulled up and held by the puller, and then the handle is operated to allow the sewing thread to hang in the vertical groove of the looper. The looper must be rotated until the looper is rotated, which is extremely complicated and inefficient. Therefore, this has been a major hindrance to automating the sewing process for this type of embroidery sewing machine.
Therefore, the invention of the present application has been devised to simplify the complicated operations of the conventional example and contribute to improving efficiency, and also to be useful for automatic sewing of this kind of sewing machine.

A semicircular annular groove or notch 92 is provided on one side of the head 90 to fit the central through hole 84, and a hole 96 is provided in one side wall of the annular groove or notch to fit the top surface 91 of the head 90. The hole 96 and the central through hole 84 are indirectly communicated with each other. In this embodiment, a semicircular annular groove or notch 94 is provided between the hole 96 and the central through hole 84, but in another embodiment, the hole 96 may be directly connected to the central through hole 84. It may be perforated so that it can be done.

Compared to the method that requires two-stage operation, the sewing thread can be set very vertically and quickly simply by the pulling operation of the thread pulling tool, which contributes to improving efficiency, and also makes it possible to easily set the sewing thread in the annular groove or in the case of defects. If it is provided in the section, the operation of the thread pulling tool 68 can be easily monitored, so that the work can be carried out easily and accurately.
