【発明の詳細な説明】 (イ)技術分野 本発明は歯科治療に於けるエアーマスクの形成方法に関
するものであって、更に詳しくは歯科治療をする際に患
者の口腔より排出される気菌、唾液や歯の切削粉塵等の
有害分子の拡散を治療にたずされる者(医者、歯科衛生
士、その他の補助者等)に対して遮蔽するエアーマスク
の形成方法に関する。

に遮蔽できるマスクは現在寸だ存在していないし、この
為特に長時間の歯の切削治療をした場合には、歯牙や金
属の切削粉塵、唾液および気菌が大量に発生し、好まし
くない治療環境となり易く、治療にたずされる者にとっ
ては気管支炎等の職業病の危険にたえずさらされている
ととKなる。まだ、現状のマスクを長時間使用している
と、呼吸疲労を生じやすく、更にマスクは患者に対して
も精神的な圧迫感を与え患者が精神的にリラックスした
雰囲気にある方が望ましいとされている歯の治療に好ま
しく々い欠点となる。そして、最近の治療法の1つとし
て笑気鎮静法と呼ばれるものがあり、患者の鼻へマスク
状の器具をセットし、笑気ガスという患者の気分をリラ
ックスさせるガスを鼻に送シ込んで、患者の気分をリラ
ックスさせながら歯の治療が行なえる治療法である。し
かし、治療中にこの笑気ガスの一部が患者の鼻から多少
でも洩れ出すと、このガスを歯科医が吸う可能性が多く
医師自身や歯科衛生士自身も気分がリラックスしすぎ緊
張感がなくなシ歯の治療に際し好ましくない状態となる
。そこで従来よシ叙上の如き問題を解決する技術の出現
が強く望まれてきたのである。

療を行う環境が快適なものとする歯科治療に於けるエア
ーマスクの形成方法を提供せんとするものである。

次側より患者の口元付近へ流し、口腔付近に排出された
有害分子の拡散を他に対して遮蔽し、且つ2次側にあっ
てこの層流を吸入することを要旨としている。

良い。また、この層流A′の形状はエアー流発生器1の
吹出口の形状によって幅および厚さについて自由に選べ
ることができ、好ましくは、幅が120+u+前後厚さ
がt50mm前後である。ガイド板2は、軽量軟鋼板等
を用いて、層流A′の向きを自由に変えることができ、
エアー流発生器1に一体的に固着されている。6は連結

生器1から流出し、ガイド板2により患者の顔部4に対
して横方向より口腔10付近の上方で流れることにより
「エアーマスク」が形成される。従って、歯の治療に於
いて、患者の口腔10から排出される気菌、唾液、切削
粉塵等の有害分子11はエアーマスクを形成している層
流A′により遮蔽され層流A′より上方へ拡散、飛散す
ることがない。即ち、層流A′は、口腔10付近で幅1
20韮、厚さ6f3mmのサイズで且つ1〜1.25m
/secの一定速度で流れて「エアーマスク」全形成す
ることになるので、口腔10よυ排出される有害分子は
いずれもがこの層流A′に阻まれて層流A′を突き破る
ことなく層流A′の流れ方向へ共に流されることになる
。勿論この層流A′の速度は患者に対して不快感を与え
ない速度とするものである。

マスク17を用いた歯の治療に於イテ、笑気ガスマスク
17よりたとえ多少洩れた余剰笑気ガス18があっても
有害分子11と共に層流A′に誘引され、さらに沿って
流れ2次側で吸い込み口16に入ることになるので、治
療にたずされる者が直接この笑気ガス24および有害分
子11を吸い込むことがなくなる。尚吸い込まれた笑気
ガス18および有害分子11はフィルター付ファン16
を通って、ある程度希釈された状態で外部に出されるこ
とになる。

の近辺でのみ形成されればよくしかも層流を流す方向を
