Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 回転するシャフト側に固定されて該シャフトに従動する
    シールリングと非回転のハウジング側にリテーナを介し
    て固定されるフローティングシートの押圧摺接により被
    シール流体を密封するメカニカルシールにおいて、フロ
    ーティングシートの内周面および外周面の所要位置を気
    密的かつ軸方向摺動自在に挾持するとともに、前記フロ
    ーティングシートの後端部周辺に空間を形成する室を備
    えたリテーナをハウジングに嵌着固定し、該ハウジング
    外周側と前記室とを連通ずる加圧孔を連穿し、該加圧孔
    より前記室へ流体を送給して加圧することにより、前記
    フローティングシートをシールリングに対し押圧摺接せ
    しめる構造であることを特徴とするメカニカルシール。
