Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable high density printing and to facilitate processing and assembling, by integrally molding an iron core and a yoke part. CONSTITUTION:Rectangular permanent magnets are attached to upper and lower stages and a magnetic circuit is constituted of the permanent magnets, a core 8 consisting of a head piece 13 and an iron core 10, an armature 8 and a yoke 14. Printing pins 7 are arranged up and down in a staggered pattern so as to be arranged on one straight line at equal intervals. As a result, because pitches between printing pins 7 become small and the space of a coil iron core or the like can be secured, the width of a printing head 1 becomes small and a small printing head is obtained. This printing head is attached to a carriage so as to be inclined at an angle such that the width between both end printing pins corresponds to one character B and each hammer is driven during a time when the carriage moves between both ends of printing paper to perform printing. By this method, a printing head capable of performing high density printing can be formed easily.

[Prior art and its problems] Traditionally, dot matrix printers used for output from word processors, etc. have been dominated by dot-type printers in which one character is composed of a dot matrix of vertical and horizontal dots.
Is kanji output even closer to print? Demand for higher density is increasing.

Therefore, the size of the characters is made the same as before, and one character is made up of more than a Sae×Sae dot matrix.

In wire dot type serial printers, the thorny printing wire is focused onto a very small area of the printing surface. For this purpose, the printing wire is bent by using a guide or the like from the bonding surface between the circumferentially arranged hammer portion and the printing wire to the printing surface, and thereby the printing wire is focused. Furthermore, at the joint surface between the hammer part and the printing wire, the printing wire must be attached to the hammer part using a method such as brazing, within a very narrow area, so as not to come into contact with the adjacent wire. To increase the printing dot density without changing the font size,
It is necessary to make this printing wire thinner, but due to the smaller diameter, the printing wires that have been used in the past tend to break due to impacts during printing, resulting in a decrease in reliability. Furthermore, it is technically difficult to join a large number of printing wires and hammer parts within a very small area of the joining surface, and it is difficult to create a print head that can perform high-density printing. It was more difficult due to the nature, manufacturability, etc.

Therefore, a dot-type line printer was developed that prints without using a printing wire. In this printer, a short printing bin attached to a print head made of a comb-shaped plate spring is moved in a straight line in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the printing medium, over the same length as one go of the printing medium. A single dot line is printed on the print medium by swinging the printer base, which is arranged at equal intervals and equipped with printers, by the length of the adjacent printing pin pitch, and driving each printer while taking timing. After printing one dot line, the printing medium is moved by one dot pitch in a direction perpendicular to the dot line, and the printer is driven in the same manner to perform printing. This type of printer does not use wires and only requires a short printing bottle, so in order to increase the density, it is only necessary to reduce the diameter of the tip of the printing bottle. However, this type of printer requires a large number of hammers, so a large-capacity power supply is required to drive the hammers, and a large special type of printer is required to swing the hammer base to which the hammer is attached. Since the printer requires a large drive unit, it has the disadvantage of being expensive and large.

Therefore, the present inventors placed the printing bins on a straight line with a constant inclination with respect to the scanning direction of the printing mechanism, and in order to drive the printing bins, a leaf spring provided corresponding to the printing bins was installed. An improved serial printer has been developed that does not use wires by arranging the upper and lower fJs alternately, and does not require a large number of hammers or a special swing mechanism unlike a line printer.

However, this type of print head has a magnet sandwiched between two iron cores, as shown in Figure 3.
Two magnetic circuit sections consisting of two iron cores and a magnet sandwiched between the iron cores were attached to a head base made of non-magnetic material such as aluminum. For this reason, it takes time to position and assemble the surface of the end face of the iron core that attracts the armature, and there is a drawback that the number of parts increases.

[Effects of the Invention] A printer according to the present invention has printing bins arranged on a straight line with a constant inclination with respect to the scanning direction of the trap printing mechanism, and in which the iron core and the yoke are integrally formed. , there is no need to position the iron core when installing it, which greatly reduces assembly work, and the head, which conventionally consists of multiple iron cores and parts such as the head base, can be replaced with a single head.
Since it can be configured with only one component, it is possible to provide high-density printing and a low-cost printer.

The print head 1 is mounted on a carriage (not shown), and the carriage reciprocates on a guide rail 2 within a range shown by dotted lines in the figure, larger than the width of the printing paper. Each printing hammer (not shown) attached to the print head 1 is driven in synchronization with the moving direction C of the carriage, and printing is performed on the printing paper 4 via the ink ribbon 5. After one line of printing is completed, the next line is printed by reversing the moving direction of the carriage and feeding the printing paper 4 by one line.

The printing machine consists of a leaf spring 6, a print bottle 7, and an armature 8 made of a magnetic material attached to the leaf spring 6 by means such as brazing to form a magnetic circuit.・
・The magnetic force of the magnet is first held on the end face of the iron core against the spring force of the plate spring 6 by the magnetic attraction force of the permanent magnet. This is done by canceling out the pressure and moving the hammer toward the ink ribbon or paper (not shown) using spring force.

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a hammer according to an example of the present invention, FIG. 5 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a print head section according to the present invention, and FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view showing the relationship between the hammer and yoke of the print head according to the present invention.
FIG. 7 shows a perspective view of a core portion according to the present invention. In the print head according to the example of the present invention, the structure of the magnetic circuit is different from that of the conventional print head shown in FIG. 3. As shown in FIG. It consists of a permanent magnet, a core made up of a head base 13 and an iron core 10, an armature 8, and a yoke 14. The method of operation is the same as in the prior art, and the hammer, which has been attracted to the iron core 10 against the spring 6, is energized by the coil l to cancel the permanent magnet force. In a printer that operates as described above, the number of parts can be greatly reduced by integrally molding the iron core 0 and the core part consisting of the herad base 13, as shown in Figure 7. Positioning work can be omitted, assembly time can be shortened, and a low-cost print head that can perform high-density printing can be provided.
