Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent both interlayer shortcircuit and disconnection of coil strand from happening by a method wherein the periphery of a coil turning centered on axle core is coated with liquid resin to form a resin exterior by centrifugal force and surface tension. CONSTITUTION:A coil supported by a pair of turning axles 3, 4 is revolved by a motor 7 at specified RPM. Then the periphery of coil winding is evenly coated with specified amount of liquid resin material (k) extruded from a nozzle 9 of a coating device 8 and then the coil itself together with frame being turned is shifted to next hardening device for hardening process. Through these procedures, such a trouble as interlayer short-circuit and disconnection of pressurized coil strand may be prevented from happening since the periphery of coil winding is coated by means of the cetrifugal force of revolving coil and the surface tension of resin material (k) not pressurized remarkably.

By the way, when sheathing with resin, it is necessary to uniformly seal only the outer periphery of the coil winding without applying pressure to the coil wire, but conventional methods often result in deterioration in quality and performance.

In other words, the conventional packaging method is as follows: (1) As shown in Fig. 1, a coil bobbin a with a coil wound around the outer periphery is placed in two upper and lower molds C9d, and the inlet is inserted into the mold C9d. However, in method (1) above, high pressure must be applied when filling the resin material into the mold, so the first method is
As shown by 1 in the figure, during filling, the resin material enters the gap between the flange of the coil bobbin a and the coil b, compressing the coil wire and causing problems such as interlayer short circuits and disconnections. In method 11), when the coil is removed from the container, the resin material not only sags as shown in Figure 2 [A] while drying, but also causes the surface to not be kept uniform and may even harden. Later, as shown by m in Fig. 2 [B'], the sagging part hardens and becomes a defective product, which requires additional processing such as masking. There is a problem in that it is necessary to provide a means to prevent leakage of the liquid resin between the parts, and in addition, in the method 4v) above, the direction in which the resin material melts and the wrapping of the tape may vary depending on the thickness of the resin. In some cases, unevenness occurs in the resin, resulting in areas that cannot be sealed, and the resin may not be able to fully demonstrate its performance.

In FIG. 4, a device 1 for carrying out the packaging method of the invention is schematically shown. In the figure, a pair of rotary shafts 5 and 4, which are inserted into one end of a coil bobbin a and support the coil bobbin a, are rotatably attached to the frame 2 on the same axis. The rotating shaft 4 can be rotated by a motor 7 via gears 5 and 6.
