There is an image input device that uses coaxial illumination by placing a retroreflector behind an object. However, in such an image input device, it is necessary to set the television camera 8 and the illumination light source 82 at a close distance. Therefore, the light transmitted through the half mirror 81 acts on the television camera 1 as diffused light, and this is inputted. This has an adverse effect on images and is a cause of image disturbances or malfunctions.

成る。<Description of Embodiments> FIG. 1 shows the basic configuration of an image input device according to the present invention, which includes a television camera 1 for obtaining an image of an object, and a half mirror 2 tilted on the visual axis 10 of the television camera 1. , an illumination light source 3 disposed oppositely on one side of the half mirror 2 so that its optical axis 30 coincides with the visual axis 10 of the television camera, and a transmitted light absorbing means 4 disposed on the other side of the half mirror 3. Consists of.

A transmitted light absorbing means 4 is provided on the inner surface of the unit box 5 in which the half mirror 2 is incorporated. Absorbent body 4 such as a plate or sheet material
The unit box 5 is connected to the television camera 1 through a mounting bracket 6. FIG. 5 shows a TV camera 1 supported in a cover unit 7 by a support fitting 71, a half mirror 2 in an opening 72 of the cover unit 7, a light source 3 on the - side of the half mirror, and an absorber 41 on the other side. An example is shown in which . In both embodiments, the light source 3 of the light source 3
0 and the viewing axis 10 of the television camera 1 coincide with each other, and the structure is such that coaxial illumination of an object is possible.

In coaxial illumination, the light transmitted through the half mirror is absorbed by the absorber, completely eliminating the diffused light to the television camera. Therefore, the negative influence on the input image due to the light transmitted through the half mirror, which has been a problem with image input devices using this type of coaxial illumination, can be eliminated with a simple configuration, and stable images can be obtained. is remarkable.
