The conventionally known color photography method using photosensitive silver halide is superior to other color photography methods in terms of photosensitivity, gradation, image quality, etc., and is the most widely put into practical use. It has been. However, in this method, wet processing is used for steps such as development, bleaching, fixing, and washing, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and there are concerns that processing chemicals may pose a threat to the human body. In addition, there are many other problems, such as concerns about contamination of the processing chamber and workers by processing chemicals, and the labor and cost of waste liquid processing.

As a result of intensive research to achieve the above object, the present inventors have found that at least a photosensitive, logenated button, an organic silver salt, and a dye that can release or form a diffusible dye upon heat development have been developed. In a heat-developable color light-sensitive material having a photographic constituent layer containing a donor substance, a reducing agent, and an interlayer, the outer layer of the photographic constituent layer is a heat-fusible layer containing a heat-fusible compound. The inventors have discovered that the above object can be achieved and have completed the present invention. That is, in the present invention, the heat-fusible substance contained in the heat-fusible layer is transferred to the image-receiving element together with the transfer of the diffusible dye during thermal development, and the heat-fusible substance promotes the dyeing of the dye to the image-receiving element. , or the heat-melting substance receives the dye by adsorption, dissolution, etc., and transfers the dye to an image-receiving element (for example, plain paper, etc.) whose surface is not specially processed such as a dyed layer. be able to. Furthermore, providing a heat-fusible layer increases adhesion with the image-receiving element, increases transfer density, and has the effect of improving peelability. The present invention will be explained below in detail. In general, heat-developable color photosensitive materials are By using a combination of a light-sensitive element and an image-receiving element, it is possible to obtain a color dye image on the image-receiving element. Of the two elements, the present invention is characterized by the photosensitive element, and therefore, the photosensitive element of the present invention can be used in combination with known image receiving elements such as plain paper that has not been specially processed. Even if there is, it is clear that it falls within the technical scope of the present invention. The relationship between the photosensitive element of the present invention and the image-receiving element may be in any conventionally known form. For example, (1) the photosensitive element of the present invention may be in a stacked relationship with the image-receiving element during thermal development. (2) the photosensitive element of the present invention is of a type in which an image receiving element is placed in a stacked relationship during thermal transfer after thermal development, and (3) the photosensitive element of the present invention The receiving element may be integrally provided on the photographic constituent layer, and imagewise exposure and thermal development may be performed through the receiving element; (a) The image receiving element may be peeled off after thermal transfer, or (b) The image receiving element may not be peeled off after thermal transfer.

Oka, in the present invention, any of the above-mentioned forms can be preferably applied to the form of diffusion transfer using plain paper, etc. that has not been specially processed as an image receiving element. The photosensitive element is characterized by having a heat-fusible layer as an outer layer of photographic constituent layers formed on a support. Here, the outer layer has the following meaning. [1] When the photosensitive element of the present invention is constructed separately from the image-receiving element [format (1) or (2) above], the layer farthest from the support is referred to as the outer layer; [2] The present invention In the case of a type in which the photosensitive element is integrally formed with the image receiving element (format (3) above), the layer on the boundary side with the image receiving element is referred to as the outer layer. Note that when an opaque layer or the like is provided, this layer is considered to be a layer on the image receiving element side.

The photosensitive layer basically contains each of the following components: photosensitive I, silver halide, organic silver salt, dye-providing substance, reducing agent, and binder; however, all the components may not necessarily be contained in one layer. It does not need to be configured as such. For example, the dye-providing substance may be contained in a layer adjacent to a photosensitive layer containing other components, or separately contained in two or more layers so that each component can react.

The dye-providing substance used in the present invention is a compound capable of releasing or forming a diffusible dye upon thermal development. Here, 1 Diffusivity 1 means the property that the dye released or formed from the donor substance described below in ^1■ can migrate from the layer containing the dye donor substance to an adjacent layer in a stacked relationship, Regarding the mode of movement with the dye, for example, if the produced dye itself is a diffusive compound, the above-mentioned transfer is performed based on this diffusivity, and as another example, the formed dye is This includes cases in which the dye is transferred by being dissolved in a solvent that can dissolve the dye or by being heated and dissolved in a hot solvent. Furthermore, a mode in which the formed dye itself is sublimable and the formed dye sublimes and moves to an adjacent layer is also included.

A preferable dispersion method for the above-mentioned dispersion is Fischer dispersion. Fischer dispersion refers to dissolving and dispersing a dye-providing substance having a hydrophilic component and a hydrophobic component in the same molecule in an aqueous alkaline solution. During this dissolution and dispersion, Arimatsu's solvent, which is compatible with water, was added, heated, stirred (homogenizer, ultrasonic dispersion, etc.),
Alternatively, the aid of a surfactant may be used. As the alkali in the alkaline aqueous solution, an inorganic base or an organic base compatible with water can be used.
After partial decomposition and dispersion, the pH can be adjusted as necessary. In this case, an organic or inorganic acid compatible with water can be used as the pH adjuster. The surfactant as a dispersion aid may be an anionic or nonionic surfactant, but anionic surfactants are preferred.

In the heat-developable color photosensitive element of the present invention, dyes are formed or released in an imagewise manner by thermal development, and these dyes are transferred to the image-receiving element by thermal diffusion transfer to form an image. It is not necessary to use a particularly processed image receiving element, and paper, cloth, wood, glass, plastic, metal, etc. can be used. Particularly preferred is an image receiving element made of cellulose such as paper or cloth. Note that this does not preclude the use of the above-mentioned specially processed image-receiving sheet.

Furthermore, LEDs (light emitting diodes), which have recently seen great progress, are being used as exposure means and display means in various devices. It is difficult to make an LED that effectively emits blue light. In this case, to reproduce a color image, the LEDs should be designed to emit green, red, and infrared light, and the layers sensitive to these lights should provide yellow, magenta, and cyan pigments, respectively. Bye. That is, the green light-sensitive layer may contain a yellow dye-providing compound, the red light-sensitive layer may contain a magenta dye-providing compound, and the infrared light-sensitive layer may contain a cyan dye-providing compound.

After performing so-called image processing to process this information as necessary, this image information is reproduced on a CRT and used as an image-like light source.Based on the processed information, three types of LID can be directly generated. There is also a method of emitting light for exposure.

Thermal transfer from the photosensitive element of the present invention to the image receiving element is performed when the photosensitive element of the present invention is thermally developed or reheated after thermal development. For heating for thermal transfer, all methods applicable to ordinary heat-developable photosensitive materials can be used. For example, by contacting a heated block or plate, by contacting a heated roller with a medium-heated drum, by passing through a high-temperature atmosphere, or by using high-frequency heating, and by using the photosensitive material of the present invention. It is also possible to provide a conductive layer in the element and take advantage of the Joule heat generated by passing current or a strong magnetic field. There are no particular restrictions on the heating pattern, including preheating and then reheating, heating at a high temperature for a short time, or at a low temperature for a long time.
Although continuous rising, falling, repeated heating, or even discontinuous heating is possible, a simple pattern is preferred. Alternatively, a method in which exposure and heating proceed simultaneously may be used.

Table-1 Table-2 Person: Baryta paper B: As shown in the practical history of coating vinyl chloride on baryta paper, when a heat-fusible layer is provided on the photographic constituent layer, the transfer of dye to plain paper is difficult. Improved sex,
Even if plain paper is used as the image receiving paper, a transfer image with sufficient degree of illumination can be obtained. Furthermore, since the adhesion to the image-receiving paper and the releasability after development are improved, there is also the effect of increasing the transfer density and reducing transfer unevenness on the surface-treated image-receiving paper.
