However, this work required skill, and the working environment was poor due to high heat and dust, making it hard work for the workers and posing health and safety problems. In order to relieve this harsh work, automatic pouring devices such as pot type and fan type have been developed, but all of these devices have a fixed pouring speed and cannot be controlled. Therefore, if slag adheres to the peripheral wall of the pouring hole of the ladle, or if the surface of the molten metal in the ladle waves or is disturbed for some reason, the flow rate of the molten metal will be equalized to the set value. This may result in an inappropriate pouring rate, resulting in too little or too much molten metal being poured into the mold. Therefore, it was necessary for the operator to constantly check the pouring state and correct the pouring speed as necessary.

In Fig. 1, (1) is a fan-shaped ladle body (2) with a pouring spout (3) on the - side of the rotation axis "-" and a refilling port (not shown) on the other side. In a pot, the ladle (1)
is tilted in the direction of arrow R by the operation of a drive device (not shown), so that a certain amount of molten metal flows out from the spout (3). (4) is a pair of molds that have been fitted together, and are held in a flask (5) and arranged on a conveyor (not shown). As shown in Fig. 2, the molten metal inlet (6) is a molten metal inlet that opens on the top surface of the mold (4) and has an approximately inverted cone-shaped longitudinal section. The mold (4) is connected to the mold cavity (9) via a sump (8), etc. - As the depth from the end surface increases, its cross-sectional area gradually becomes narrower, and the inflow speed of the molten metal increases. If they are different, the upper surface position of the molten metal will be different, and the width dimension of the two sides of the molten metal will be different.

- An optical detector capable of measuring the dimensions and shape provided to detect the width dimensions (a, b dimensions) of the surface, with its detection part facing the molten metal inlet (6). , the detector (11) is electrically connected to the driving device of the ladle (1) via a microcomputer control device, and also detects the elapsed pouring time and the width dimension at the molten metal inlet (6). The relationship is stored in the microcomputer control device in advance, and if the actual measured value is larger than the set value in a certain range, the ladle (1) is tilted in the opposite direction to the direction of arrow R; , tilt the ladle (1) in the direction of arrow R and open the pouring spout (3).
This makes it possible to control the amount of molten metal flowing out from within the predetermined range.

When the ladle (1) is positioned directly below the molten metal pouring D (3) and stopped, the drive device for the ladle (1) is activated and the ladle (1) tilts from the starting position at a constant speed in the direction of arrow B. After a while, molten metal begins to flow out from the molten metal pouring port (3). Then, the detector (10) detects the outflow of the molten metal, and the timer (2) starts operating. When the set time elapses, the timer 〇 is tilted by an angle of 1 to dispense more molten metal than the required amount. In this state, the timer 〇 is released and the ladle (1) is stopped from tilting, and this is relayed to the timer 0, and the ladle (1) is stopped for the time set by this timer 〇, and the ladle (1) is stopped from tilting. The concentric molten metal flows out through the pouring port (3), but the detector (1)
1), the width of the upper surface of the molten metal at the molten metal inlet (6) is detected and measured, and if this actual measurement is larger than the width within a preset range, the ladle (1)
is tilted backwards for the time set by timer 〇, and - if the width dimension is smaller than a preset certain range, it is tilted for the time set by timer 〇. Such operations are repeated and corrected so as to keep the inflow speed of the molten metal within a certain range for the time set by the timer O. When the timer ■ is released, the ladle (1) begins to tilt backward at a constant speed and return. When the detector (10) detects and confirms that the molten metal from the molten metal pouring port (3) has run out, the ladle (1) is further tilted backward for the time set by timer 0 according to the detection command. The hot water is completely drained. In this state, prepare for the next pouring operation.

The set time is corrected, and the timer ■ is activated according to the corrected set time for the next pouring operation.

In short, the present invention detects the width or area of the molten metal poured into the molten metal inlet of a mold having an approximately inverted cone-shaped molten metal inlet with a detector, and If the measured value of is larger than a preset value in a certain range, the outflow speed of the molten metal flowing out from the ladle is slowed down; The outflow speed of the molten metal is automatically controlled so that the outflow speed is increased so that the actual measured value of the width dimension falls within the range of the set value, so if slag adheres to the pouring port, etc.
Or, even when the molten metal is disturbed when replenishing the ladle with molten metal, or even when the molten metal surface is waving, the inflow speed of the molten metal flowing into the molten metal inlet can always be maintained within a certain range. This allows the amount of molten metal to flow into the mold to be just the right amount, and eliminates the need for manpower, resulting in the efficient production of high-quality cast products, which contributes to the yuzu industry. The effect is significant.
