and the preceding steel strip 2 whose surface is covered with oxides 51 and 52, and the top. Even if a current is passed through the lower electrodes 3 and 4 after welding, the insulating properties of the oxides 49 and 50 (especially the ferrite type of SUS are high) will prevent the current from flowing and welding will become impossible.
Alternatively, even if the insulation is low, it becomes difficult for current to flow, the nugget 53 becomes small, and the desired welding strength cannot be obtained. This invention was made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional method, and by removing the insulating oxide covering the surface of the steel strip to be welded using a knurling tool and a grindstone, lap welding can be easily performed. To provide a steel strip welding device that enables the welding of steel strips. below,
An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

The bell 17 mounted above has the role of keeping the grinding pressure constant, and its weight can be adjusted. This grinding pressure becomes the contact force of the grindstone 11 when grinding the trailing and leading steel strips 1 and 2, which will be described later. This pressure is generated by the weight of the above-mentioned equipment, and since the weight is too much, an equal load spring 18 is attached to the carriage 5 to reduce the pressure so as to obtain the optimum pressure. The shaft 15 connected to the grinder 12 can be moved up and down by moving the main body bracket 19 using the cylinder 20.

Grinding pressure is obtained by adjusting the pressure flowing into this cylinder 39 with a pressure reducing valve 40. Shaft 38 is guided by bearings 42, 43 mounted on support bracket 41. The adjustment bolt 44 is used to adjust the upper limit position of the grinder 36. The bellows 45 has a grinding calendar, etc. bearing 4
This is to prevent intrusion into areas 2 and 43. A knurl 47 is rotatably attached to the lower guide 46. 48 is a rotation stopper.

。First, the grindstone 11 and the knurl 34 are pressed onto the upper surface of the preceding steel strip 2. The lower oxide removal device 10, shown in FIG. 6, presses the cylinder 39 upward to press the grindstone 35 against the lower surface of the preceding steel strip 2. Here, by pressurizing the upper part, the preceding steel strip 2 is sandwiched between the lower knurl 47 and the upper knurl 34 by the pressing force of the upper cylinder 20. In this state, when the grindstones 11 and 35 are rotated and the carriage 5 is moved to the right as shown in FIG. 2, the knurls 34 and 47 are dented in the surface of the preceding steel strip 2 as shown in FIG. A portion 2c and a raised portion 2d are formed, and the raised portion 2a is cracked and becomes a surface from which oxides are easily removed by grinding. Also, recessed part 2
c is the surface from which the oxide has been removed. Next, the knurled surface is ground with a grindstone, but the surface of the raised portion 2d is mainly processed, and the oxide is removed. At this point, oxides from knurling and grinding the weld will be removed. Next, in FIG. 2, the carriage 5
After the processing of the upper and lower surfaces of the preceding steel strip 2 is completed, the grinding wheels 11 and 35 of the upper and lower oxide removal devices 9 and 10 are turned on.
47 rises and falls and runs to the left. At the same time as the traveling, the rear steel pipe 1 is overlapped as shown in FIG. 7B. Then, the lower surface of the leading steel strip 2 and the upper surface of the trailing steel strip 1 are knurled and ground again. At the same time, the 6th
In the figure, the upper electrode 3 and the lower electrode 4 also weld the overlapping portion of the steel strips 1 and 2, as shown in FIG. 7c.
In the case of this figure, a spot welding device is shown, and when welding current is applied, the carriage 5 stops traveling. Figure 1 shows oxide 4
This shows the welding state when numbers 9 to 52 are not removed.

Even if 4 is pressurized and electricity starts flowing, the current may not flow in the case of ferritic stainless steel because of its high insulation properties. Also, even if the current flows, it will be weak and the nugget 53
nugget 5 is not formed sufficiently, or the nugget 5 is located in a completely different position.
3 may be formed, and the welding strength cannot be guaranteed. Furthermore, the contact resistance between the oxides 50, 52 and the electrodes 3, 4 may locally become extremely high, which may damage the electrodes. In contrast, in the case of the present invention, as shown in FIG. In welding in which the lower surface is ground and knurled to remove the oxides 49, 51, and 52, stable welding strength can be obtained and the life of the electrode can be maintained for a long time. Therefore, not only has it become easier to weld ferritic stainless steel that has oxides, but it has also made it possible to extend the life of the electrode by removing austenitic oxides (which have almost no insulating properties). Also possible.

Further, it can be used by being incorporated into a seam welding device.
